145kV Paardevlei Substation GIS Electrical Integration Engineering Services, South Africa

Siemens Energy’s HV Products and Transformers Business Unit required electrical integration engineering services for the design, manufacture, testing at the manufacturer’s works, supply, delivery, off-loading on site, erection, site testing, commissioning and maintenance of 145kV SF6 metal-enclosed switchgear and associated equipment to be installed at Paardevlei Switching Station, Strand, South Africa.

PEC’s scope was to provide the following electrical engineering integration services on the project in order for Siemens to construct, install and commission the 145kV SF6 metal-enclosed switchgear and associated equipment at the Paardevlei Switching Station:

• The electrical engineering associated with the primary plant of the 145kV GIS substation;
• The electrical engineering associated with the secondary plant of the 145kV GIS Substation.
